Raine Elizabeth Michaels, daughter of rock icon Bret Michaels is beyond grateful after being selected out of 25,000 girls as a top running candidate competing for an opportunity to become a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model in SI’s Swim Search. “I realize it takes hard work, gratitude and some luck.” states Raine, adding “I truly admire strong women like my mom and grandmas as well as Oprah Winfrey, Kate Upton, Cindy Crawford and Tyra Banks who are amazing role models. All of these women are smart, hard-working and dedicated.”

For her 18th birthday Raine asked to work at an animal rescue where she also serves as a part-time veterinarian assistant until she starts college in the fall. In addition, Raine also has a cameo role in the upcoming Sharknado film.

Both Raine and younger sister Jorja-Bleu live by the notion that the harder you work, the luckier you get.

Jorja Bleu Michaels was subject of a viral video and song of the same name, “Jorja Bleu” written about her by her father.
