In 1988, Bret Michaels was the first artist to truly have a crossover rock / country hit with the timeless classic “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Stemming from his country roots, Bret always kept one foot in the genre. In 2004, Bret coined the phrase & releases his song “Rock’n My Country,” which has since been used in countless variations around the world to promote many events, festivals, and tours over the years.
